Having grown up in the Middle East in Dubai and Egypt, Omar Fadel received what many would consider something other than a typical musical upbringing. His influences were a consistent interaction of contradicting musical worlds that to most composers would seem unnatural, but to Mr. Fadel it was perfectly normal.With a passion for new wave, heavy metal, early 80′s Egyptian disco, and classical Near-Eastern and Western music, Mr. Fadel became a musical chameleon. There is no better example of this diversity then his credits, which include: ABC’s The Goode Family, NBC’s Phenomenon, Paramount’s Next Day Air, The Taqwacores, and recently, additional music for Stewart Copeland’s Ben Hur Live.
